He may not be as popular as he once was, but I still have a fond place for Duke Nukem games. I still replay some of the games in the series. But it's clear, this franchise would not work today, not anymore. Hell, I don't think Duke Nukem could survive in the PC culture of today.

I want to play this but steam only jas thaf anniversary edition for like $25 otherwise I woukd have had it in my collection ages ago.
 
I remember the argue between DooM and Duke Nukem fans were ferocious battles in old forums.. i really like the Heavy Metal approach both games have and also the unique playability they share.. i loved them both but my heart goes for Doom, even Megadeth (one of my favorite bands) did something duke nukem related in the late 90s. What a glory age of FPS.. Blood, Rise of the triads, Quake..!
 
Duke Nukem feels a bit more like the goofy one imo. I've been trying to collect as many retro fps games as humanly possible haha.
