I went to a trade school for welding, but that's really about it. I wasn't going to go to college otherwise, as it's just too much filer classes to get a degree, that you aren't even guaranteed a job after graduating. At least with a trade, you can learn in a faster period, and usually find a job fairly fast.
The only college I should have naturally attended was Film School. But I would have needed direction from adults to give a fuck about me to encourage me to look into my future. It was always...”well you gotta do something or you’ll end up in jail.” Which I did any fucking ways.
I never went to college. I didn't do that great in high school. Had a lot of trouble in some classes. So when I got out of school. Instead of enrolling at the local college, I went right into working for my families dealership. Also I helped my ex wife get through college. Kind of glad I didn't go because of all the college debt she racked up and has to pay lol.
I agree. I think it's frustrating to go to school for so long and then no one will hire you because you lack experience. A lot of hospitals wouldn't hire my ex wife because she didn't have any experience. She studied and went to school for Medical Billing for 4 years. She now works 70 hours a week as a FedEx driver. She makes good money doing that.

Very true! when I lived in Florida, a lot of places will still hire people who never went to college. What they will do is they will train them and get them certified. The only big difference is that they will pay them a lot less. Because they didn't go to college and get licensed. They do it all of the time at Nursing homes. They just want people who will work.
I mean I guess thats something, but hey I never went all in and I dropped out and I'm pretty happy.
That's okay. School wasn't for me either. I focused more on women and my hobbies. I was really tired of late night homework and reading all of the text books. My worst subject was math mainly. I sucked at Geometry and Algebra. Totally hated it.
And those god damn finals. It would always be so stressful having to study for the finals because I sucked when it came to procrastinating lmao.
I feel like they've been making school harder for kids. I never used any of the crap from the classes they made me attend. Basic math and counting back change sure.....but Geometry, Algebra, and Science classes are pretty useless. They're a waste of time. I think kids need English and Literature to learn how to read and write. P.E. is important, because it gives them some exercise. History for sure. It seems like we're repeating a lot of that lately. So on and so forth.
They should replace them with classes for money management, how to get a job, managing a house and mortgaging and stuff like that. I was probably one of few who actually learned money management in high school.
That'd be very useful. Not all parents are capable of being a good life coach to their kids if they can't keep a job or a save a dime. I think it should be up to the schools to teach those things. I don't know why they've never done that. I'm sure it's been brought up before but I don't the big wigs ever cared enough to do it.
